What is a PaintFest?

The PaintFest® concept was created by the non-profit Foundation for Hospital Art as a way for hospitals throughout the world to become beautiful places for healing.Communities come together to complete the pre-drawn and color coded canvasses using supplied paints and brushes.

The DC Active Singles Paintfest 

We've purchased two sets of six canvases and all supplies, and will be holding our Paintfest on the Saturday of Valentine's weekend.The large space at Scene Gallery will be set up with PaintFest tables in the center, and plenty of room for mixing, mingling and enjoying refreshments around the perimeter. We'll have live music playing in the background, and beautiful art to admire along the walls.  And we're located in the vibrant National Harbor area with plenty of shops and restaurants to explore.  Our completed six-panel mural will be donated to the HSC Pediatric Center in Washington, DC.

The HSC Pediatric Center  

The HSC Pediatric Center (formerly the Hospital for Sick Children) in Washington, DC ensures access to quality rehabilitative care and specialty services for infants, children and adolescents with special needs and their families. Their patients, as a result of disease, injury, and premature birth, have complex disabilities that include developmental delays, cerebral palsy, and brain injuries. The HSC Pediatric Center is guided by a family-centered philosophy; they take pride in providing a nurturing environment of family-centered care so that children and teens can learn, play, and grow while receiving the medical care they need. The HSC Pediatric Center is accredited by The Joint Commission© (TJC), and CARF (The Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities).
